Co-construction Agreement on AcademicianWorkstation Signed between QNU and Chen Yong

From July 26th to 28th, invited by Chen Yong, professor of Changzhou University and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, QNU president Qu Guangqing and heads of Research Administration Office and School of Resources and Environmental Science attended the Urban and Rural Mines’ Industry-University Research Conference. In the conference, Qu Guangqing, on behalf of the QNU, signed co-construction agreement on academician workstation in Fujian Province with Chen Yong.

The academician workstation in our school, approved by Fujian Association for Science and Technology, was founded in 2014, the first one settled in colleges and universities in Quanzhou. Joining the workstation, Chen Yong and his team will work on resolving major technical difficulties, urgently needed in projects like “zero waste city”, “resource utilization of urban and rural mines ”, “rural environment regulation and soil remediation” etc. Meanwhile, the co-operation will make great contribution to the construction of  research lab and talent training base, promoting research on solid wastes reclamation in QNU and Quanzhou city, and yielding benefits for local economic and social development.
