Recently Fujian Science & Technology Department and Department of Finance have jointly issued The Notice of 2019 Science and Technology Major Projects and Funds (The 4th Batch), in which one project of QNU, led by national specialist, Professor Liao Tingdi, was included. Under the title of Machine Vision Based Research on the Key Technology of Intelligent Screening of Crystal-sized Semiconductor Refrigeration Component, the project was made one of the major projects in Research and Application of Artificial Intelligence Technology. It was jointly proposed by Quanzhou Yikoda Semiconductor Refrigeration Technology Co. Ltd, with a total investment of 5 million RMB (3 million RMB financial support included).
As reported, it has been the second time for ProfessorLiao Tingdi and his team, Photonics Technology Research Center of QNU, to be awarded the major project of science and technology. Their first significant project was included in Researches on the Graphene Technology and its Industrial Development Projects in 2017. This time, the project has received the ever-largest amount of financial support for provincial science and technology projects in QNU's history.
