On December 27th, the 1st Quanzhou Charity Federation QNU Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held in Quanzhou Normal University. Shen Yaoqin, President of Quanzhou Charity Federation, Zhang Zhixu, Vice President of Quanzhou Charity Federation, Qu Guangqing, President of QNU, and Gao Yuncheng, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of QNU, attended the ceremony. Participants of the awarding ceremony also included directors of related departments of QNU and representatives of faculties and students.
At the ceremony, Shen Yaoqin introduced the work of Quanzhou Charity Federation and the purpose of establishing Quanzhou Charity Federation QNU Scholarship. He also encouraged the scholarship-winning students to have high aspirations and good intentions, becoming pillars of the nation with virtue, ideals and responsibilities.
Qu Guangqing hoped that students granted with the scholarships would always hold a sense of gratitude and carry forward the charity culture, taking the scholarship-winning as a new start to give full play to the passion of youth, to pursue the ideal of youth through hard work, and to contribute to the new era and the Chinese dream together.
Shen Yaoqin and Gao Yuncheng, on behalf of Quanzhou Charity Federation and QNU respectively, signed a donation agreement. The leaders and guests of honor conferred scholarships to the students.
This year, Quanzhou Charity Federation set up scholarships and stipends in QNU to reward and encourage financially difficult students who were excellent in study and character, granting 50 students with 2000 yuan each.
