Opening Ceremony of 2019 Seminar of Chinese Primary School Principals in Malaysia Held in QNU

On December 4th, the opening ceremony of 'Silk Road Chinese Education—2019 Seminar of Chinese Primary School Principals in Malaysia' was held in Quanzhou Normal University. The event was hosted by Fujian overseas Chinese affairs office, and co-organized by QNU and Quanzhou overseas Chinese affairs office. Among those present were Zheng Huiwen, leader of the United Front Work Department of Fujian provincial Party committee, Zhu Shize, Party Secretary of QNU, Yu Yuzhong, executive director of the policy and research department of the United Chinese School Teachers' Association of Malaysia, Wang Liping, head of the seminar of Chinese primary school principals in Malaysia, and some other directors of Chinese education center.



At the opening ceremony, Zhu Shize commented that QNU has been paying great attention to exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese language education in Malaysia, with the aim of strengthening ties and communications with overseas Chinese educational institutions and Fujian chambers of commerce in Malaysia. It has hosted overseas Chinese youth 'Root-seeking Tours', expanded overseas Chinese education, strengthened exchanges and cooperation between Quanzhou and the countries along the 'Belt and Road', and spread excellent traditional Chinese culture.



Zheng Huiwen pointed out that Chinese education is a project of spreading excellent Chinese culture to overseas Chinese, known as the 'Root-preserving Project' of the Chinese nation, and the 'Hope Project' of promoting Chinese culture, both of which contribute not only to the contemporary era but also the future generations.



It was reported that 29 Chinese primary school principals from Malaysia would study at the seminar held in QNU for 12 days, which included various forms and contents, such as cultural study, prestigious school investigation, lectures, principals forum, special reports, teaching observation and so on.
